KITTENS AVAILABLE: The Côte Saint-Luc Cats Committee wants to  find homes for some  more beautiful kittens: two girls and one boy. You can find all of the details here.

We have quite an  excellent record of EMSB Central Head Office staff adopting kittens.



HANDMADE HATS, BROOCHES AND  MORE: On Thursday, October 22 (11 a.m.to 1:30 p.m.) Elizabeth Gregory Creations will set up shop in the Atrium at the EMSB Central Head Office. She will make available for sale her handmade crocheted retro style cloche hats featuring contrasting flowers and vintage buttons; and  original design flower brooches and cuff bracelets  (featuring magnetic closure) created from various shades  of repurposed leather. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to  Inspirations Newspaper.

Ann Marie Matheson congratulates Financial Services. HALLOWEEN FUN: Staff gathered in the cafeteria at 6000 Fielding Avenue for our annual  Halloween celebration. This year’s theme was Super Heroes.  The Departments of Financial Services and Student Services both took on  Superman themes in their attire. Some of the winners  and their representatives with Ms. Matheson. The EMSB Central Head Office's annual spoof of the Academy Awards took place on February 21. Always named in honour of our Director General, the event puts EMSB staffers in the place of Hollywood stars. Who was nominated? Who won? How does Bruce Roberts do it year after year? Click here for the link Carol Walters accepts her Lifetime  Achievement Award from Ms. Matheson and her boss Daniel Hogue. Carol Walters Is Retiring Carol Lynne Walters, who currently works at the English Montreal School Board in Central Security, is retiring after working for 46 years. Carol is friendly and always has a smile on her face and laughing. She worked for the High School of Montreal for 28 years and worked at the Lester B. Pearson School Board for two years before returning to the EMSB. Carol plans on taking the summer off after her retirement, before doing some volunteer work in the fall. She wants he...

A kitten for adoption and what's new at 6000 Fielding

PIXEL IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: Meet Pixel, a gorgeous three-month old kitten. She is available for adoption and presently being taken care of by the Côte Saint-Luc Hospital for Animals. The CSL Cats Committee will cover the cost of her sterilization. Please let Mike know at mcohen@emsb.qc.ca. WEEKLY NEWSPAPERS: Please be sure to come take a look each week for the newspapers and publications dropped off at our building. They are in the large wooden shelf across from the security desk. BOOTH BIDS ADIEU: Very quietly the wonderful Tom Booth r ecently retired for good from the EMSB. Tom had stayed on in Education and Technology Services to assist us with many tasks.
